President Moratti was interviewed by Inter Channel shortly after tonights fixture and was in a good mood despite Inter’s exit out of the Europa League: “I find this game to be perfect, the players did something the media were unable to predict, the players were lethal and showed pride. We are all very proud of this team, I can only offer them my compliments. Then of course we were eliminated, ok, maybe I would have been more upset if this was the Champions League. [laughs]….”
“I’m sure that the extra time periods we played today will be a burden on the team with regards to the championship but from a psychological perspective this match is extremely important. All we supporters want to throw away everyone when things aren’t going well but when things go well we understand the quality they posess: tonight we saw that we can count on some of the young players and that we can count on some of those who aren’t young, who have character. This mix, this feeling is something that we have to keep. Kovacic? He has an amazing personality, that special vision and he’s very mature” the President concludes.
