Jonathan

It was a very happy Jonathan who was interviewed by Sky’s Andrea Paventi after the game: “If I was a resource for the team? Yes, I’m happy, we played very well, it was the best match we’ve played since I arrived here. I hadn’t played for two months, now I hope t play more regularly: I want to play to the best of my abilities all the way to the end. What I’ve been lacking since I’ve come here? Ever since I came back here from Parma I havent had any luck, I played well against Udinese and Pescara then that goal against Bologna in Coppa Italia. Evryone can make mistakes but with some people there doesn’t seem to be any patience, they put all this pressure on me and everyone expects me to be the new Maicon, I’m Jonathan, I just need continuity but you can’t take this in the way that I’m criticizing Strama, I work well with him. Inter has to always play with faith and self-confidence, today we were fantastic against a great team such as Tottenham and if we continue to play like this we’ll finish in second position or maybe even go past Juve. We’ve been lacking luck and confidence.”

“What did Stramaccioni say after the match? He greeted everyone, even Moratti was very happy with how we performed tonight. We all complimented each-other because we weren’t happy after the match in London and against Bologna. We knew we played poorly and today, if we put aside the fact that we failed to qualify, we played a terrific match.”

Moments later he was interviewed by Inter Channel and expressed gratitude to the supporters for applauding him: “The applause I received from the fans means a lot to me because ever since I came here they’ve only applauded me twice before. Sometimes I haven’t had the luck one needs but now I’m happy and I’m training well. I hope to be able to play more games, I’m here at the disposal of the team” Jonathan concludes.”
