“If I could take back one thing i’ve done wrong in my life it would be to throw the Inter shirt on the ground”.
Words signed former Inter striker Mario Balotelli during a press conference at Coverciano ahead of Italys World Cup qualifier against Malta on tuesday. The center forward now expresses regret regarding his actions after the final whistle in the game between Inter and Barcelona in 2010.

The appreciation for the Milan striker has grown, much thanks to the Italian headcoach Cesare Prandelli.
“I have always had people who wish me well close to me. I am nice to many, but not to everyone. After Euro 2012 my popularity has grown a lot, i’ve noticed. Thanks to the national team there are now supporters of other teams in Italy who appreciate what i do”, Balotell said.
