Palacio is out, bad news that has reached all of his teammates. One of them is Alvaro Pereira who was interviewed by Marco Barzaghi for Sportmediaset where he commented on the incident: “Palacio’s injury was very bad news for us, now it will be more difficult, but our task is to try to win every game. We need to concentrate and focus only on winning against Atalanta. Now Cassano and Rocchi are the only available strikers and we have to be prepared for any offensive player moving a little bit more offensively, and we must all work together to let him do it.”

On the chances of reaching third place in the standings: “Everyone wants to do it and we believe in it. Now there are still many games left but we have to do well on Sunday against Atalanta. Inter better than the small teams? Every game is difficult. We still believe in third place and we know that our fans believe it. Since the first day with Inter I have been working to do well, but my positive performance against Sampdoria belongs to the past. I’m focused on the next.”

On the relationship with his teammates Pereira says: “Zanetti has helped me just like the rest of the team. I am often together with the captain and together with our teammates, we have the positive attitude needed to do well.” Finally Pereira reveals, or rather confirms, his personal goals: “It is always to go out on the pitch and show the best possible shape to help the team.”
