Roberto-Donadoni

Parma coach Roberto Donadoni’s press conference started with the last match against Udinese: “Everything that we did one week ago was commented and validated from the attitude and conviction that we need on the pitch which obviously has to be different from the last match. You can take a goal, but the reaction has to be different, considering that we allowed Udinese to play as they wanted  instead. That was the most negative aspect. At San Siro we face a team that wants to make up for something, so they are also a big team from the motivational aspect.”

Can an Inter like that be a possibility to reach a prestigious result: “Thinking this way is wrong. Other than for losers and for those who are not convinced of what they can do. We need to work on our qualities and not hoping that the opponent is easier with his difficulties.”

What kind of match is he expecting from the Nerazzuri? “I don’t know what they will do. I only know that we need a big match and can’t allow the opponents to play at their pace. We will not go there with the idea of ‘let’s go and see what Inter does’ and see how we manage this. No, we won’t do this mistake and we need great determination also from a physical point of view.”

What will the last six matches mean for the coach and his team? “For me those are like the first six. We have the same care and attention, me and my staff. I want to play all matches with the maximum of our possibilities. For our players, those will be matches where I make validations and important thoughts about the future.”

What are the coach’s considerations when it comes to Belfodil? “He can play in every match. But, first of all for the forwards, the match against Inter will be a match of great sacrifice, especially if we don’t have the ball. We need to attack and defend together, independently from the tactical system. If we can do this also with our midfielders and defenders, the performance will certainly be determined and convinced, on an individual and on a group level.”

Donadoni’s squad:

Goalkeepers: Mirante, Pavarini, Bajza,

Defenders: Benalouane, Coda, Lucarelli, Mesbah, Santacroce

Midfielders: Ampuero, Galloppa, Gobbi, Marchionni, Morrone, Ninis, Parolo, Rosi, Strasser, Valdes

Forwards: Amauri, Belfodil, Biabiany, Boniperti, Cerri, Sansone
