Ausilio: “It takes time to start a new cycle”

Before the match against Parma, Piero Ausilio was interviewed by Sky, “Branca in Catania for Gomez? I don’t know, yesterday he was with me and we had lunch together. After that I don’t know what he’s been doing. We like Gomez? There has been much talk about him and we saw what happened last year. You must plan ahead and get a clear picture of which ones to go for.”

On the conclusion of the season Ausilio said: “The club now expects all to perform at their best because you can start preparing for next season and already see who is the class that is required to play for Inter. If we can restart with a good foundation like Guarin and Kovacic? Yes, I think so and therefore we haven’t done so poorly and that is why Inter has already restarted. It takes time to start a new cycle, but obviously it’s difficult to understand because you want to win right away being Inter. It takes a little patience. We want to be up there, but we also have an obligation to make a different kind of analysis. We will definitely restart with these players with great prospects and more will be added.”

Schelotto disappointing? “It’s hard to come into a new and important environment such as that of Inter. A player like Kovacic needed less time, he immediately found his dimension. Regarding Ezequeil a little time and effort is needed, but I’m sure he will soon will find the satisfaction he deserves.”
