Gökhan Inler has been mentioned as a candidate for Inter’s midfield. The Swiss midfielder’s arrival at Inter is believed to be more likely with the expected arrival of Mazzari to Inter. Our partners fcinternews.it got an exclusive interview with the player’s agent Dino Lamberti to inquire about Inlers future.

Lamberti, has the recent days brought Gökhan Inler closer to Inter. Are there any confirmations?

“I read about it, but I don’t know anything. President De Laurentiis focus on him in the coming years, and last year he turned down a bid of 30 million from a foreign club.”

Inter’s coaching bench appears destined for Walter Mazzarri. How did he end things with Gökhan?

“He did not play in the last few games, but he scored six goals during the season. He has had problems with a foot and has been unavailable for a while. Dzemaili has replaced him in a good way and has earned his place in the starting line-up.”

But in the past, before he ended up in Napoli, he was chased by Inter?

“Inter’s directors talked with Pozzo, but then nothing happened.”

And if Mazzarri would put Inler on his shopping list?

“I don’t know what the future holds for the coach. But if he, in Inter, would ask for a midfielder and consider Inler we would certainly sit down to talk with Napoli. The possibility would not be discarded.”

An exchange of Inler for Guarin, is it fantasy football?

“I think so. Bigon has assured me this trail is unfounded.”

The subject of cities: Naples is hot and chaotic. Milan is perhaps a little more discreet. Is it a factor in favor of Inter?

“No, I don’t think so. Inler has Turkish roots, he loves Napoli’s heat and always speak well of it. He likes to visit museums, go to Vesuvius, the Royal Palace of Caserta and the excavations at Pompeii. He’s not like Lavezzi who liked to hang out with friends, but he will adapt to the place where he is at.”
