“Sunderland wants more Italian directors. After signing De Fanti as the general manager they want Inters Valentino Angeloni who arrived from Udinese last summer. Angeloni is a talent scout who can be trusted and who has a lot of experience, at Sunderland he would get the role as Sporting director which could be an important step forward in Angelonis career. This is why it’s possible that he will accept the offer since his career would take a step forward with the new role. Inter would chose his substitute calmly since all the scouting for the coming silly season has been finished, at the same time as Angeloni values the offer from Sunderland.”
