Even Walter Mazzarri is behind Antonio Cassano’s farewell to Inter. This was revealed by Gianluca Di Marzio in his editorial: “When Inter chose Mazzarri there were many who thought that Cassano’s future was still at Inter. Just because the two were together at Sampdoria, and never argued in public. Indeed, both the club and the coach had already made their decision: Cassano didn’t fit and won’t fit into the tactical plans for next season. Thus, even Cassano himself began thinking about a new challenge. He was hoping for Sampdoria, he has tried abroad and he also wanted to play in a large Brazilian or Argentine club, like Boca, where the adrenaline is sky high. But with two small children, it would be difficult to move to another continent and that is why he stays to play in Italy, in Serie A.”
