After 15 days of training camp, it’s easy to make an evaluation. Although the workload was heavy, the three friendlies provided some answers. In Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s coach Walter Mazzarri gave his thoughts after the time in Trentino: “The work we have put behind us over the lasttwo weeks of training camp could be the foundation for a great season. Now we have to work on the move, given that we will play a few international friendlies. It will be those that will give the true picture about our state.'”

The first friendly match will be played in Germany and Kovacic will not be there: “Mateo will be back in the group in a few days and therefore he will not travel with the team to Germany.”

On the compliments from Moratti: “I thank the President for his kind words, he is a very nice person and I say this beyond our roles.”

Mazzarri then returned to talking about the training camp: “We have worked well, but the evaluation of the game is relative because technical merit emerges, you have to be first to the ball. Who has surprised me the most? The so called senators who has managed the tough workload. They have been leading the group and the others must follow them to become strong. We have also tested a defense of 4, fundamental against opponents with three men in the attack.”

Finally, Mazzarri commented Inter’s hunt for a winger which may be completed before the trip to the U.S. “It would be better, everyone knows how important the wingers are in my type of game, both in attack and defense.”
