SPORT, CALCIO: SERIE A - INTER - SIENA

Cristian Chivu will not leave Inter this season and no termination of the contract is planned, not even in January when the new owners are expected to have taken over the club. The defender is now determined to recover from the foot injury he underwent surgery for in the U.S. and will stay at Inter. This was stated by the Romanian’s agent Victor Becali for the umpteenth time: “There is no news, he is an Inter player and has returned from the U.S. after surgery. As soon as possible he will resume preparations with Inter. Termination of the contract? Not a chance, Chivu is an Inter players until June at least, and in the near future, we expect no significant updates. We are waiting to find out how the recovery unfolds and then he will focus on returning to the pitch and make a contribution.”

Since June, there has been talk about Chivu being considered for a position in the Romanian Football Federation: “It depends on several factors, but it is something that can only happen next year. Right now there is nothing concrete, Cristian just wants to return to the pitch as soon as possible.”
