Our partners at FcInterNews.it got to speak briefly with Porto player Fernando’s agent, Antonio Araujo, regarding the future of his client. The players current contract is set to expire and he will be free to negotiate with another club starting February 1st, something which is of interest to Inter whose interest in the player has been known for a long time.
Equally as known as the fact that Porto President Pinto Da Costa slapped a 20 million Euro pricetag on the player this past summer, which has now gone down to somewhere between 7-8 million Euro’s, if even that. The players agent Araujo was quick to refute claims that a deal with Inter is done: “There are no ongoing negotiations with Inter or anything of the sort, these are only things that newspapers write.”
The truth according to FcInterNews, is that Inter is waiting for the ownership question to be clarified before intensifying the hunt for Fernando’s signature.
