Our partners at FcInterNews.it interviewed Udinese’s Sporting Director, Cristiano Giaretta, exclusively regarding the rumours which have Inter making a move for Serbian wing-back Dusan Basta and Brazilian wing-back Gabriel Silva.
“Obviously in the near future we will entertain offers for our players coming from other clubs but for the time being there has been no contact whatsoever with Inter. We’re not going through a great period right now, the players have to remain concentrated. Then obviously other teams can have a look at our players, but I wish to reiterate that no contact has been made with anyone yet.”
“Basta? There was some talk this past summer about a possible interest from Inter but if our players have remained with us at Udine this means that there no concrete offer was made. Udinese knows how to sell well and we don’t force anyone to stay.”
What happens if Inter make a move in January for either one or both of the players, how will you react?
“We will sit down and talk with everyone, we will have to wait and see if this situation were to occur.”
