Inter’s midfielder Fredy Guarin was interviewed after the game against Bologna that finished 1-1:

“I am very sorry because we played really well today. We should’ve won but we were unlucky, we can hold our heads high becaus we played against a good Bologna that needed three points desperately. We played well though and the only thing missing was the victory and it is unlucky because we had the chance to come closer to opponents. We didn’t lose, we took a point and we will have to continue this way.”

How important is it for you to hear Mazzarri express his faith in you:

“It is always important to hear it. From the coach, from the teammates and from the club. Then you can see the answer from the player on the pitch. Today I just had to score because the team did well. I am calm, I’ll just keep working and be available for the team. The goal will come for me, the team is playing well and it is good like that.”

You are playing just behind Palacio, is it your favorite role?

“I feel very well, I am very free in playing on the whole field and to move where I find space. I feel like I’ in the right zone and I can enter the penalty area, but it’s a role that needs me to score. Right now I’m feeling like I’m not doing enough but I’m calm. I like this role a lot.”

Today you tried to score from 65 metres:

“I always look up and try. That is the way that it is, the worst that could happen is that I don’t score and that the game goes on. Today I saw the goalkeeper was far out and I tried, he did well though.”
