Moratti: “It’s a great honor and a great pleasure”

Today in Florence, honorary president Massimo Moratti was introduced into the Italian football’s Hall of Fame. After the ceremony, he talked with the reporters, including our partner fcinternews.it, and even made a statement about yesterday’s match against Sampdoria.

Are you happy to have been introduced into Italian football’s Olympus ?

“I guess I have to thank everyone who voted for me and the president of the federation. It’s a great honor and a great pleasure, together with wonderful champions in football and those that remain in the memory of all the fans.”

How did it affect you to see 12,000 fans in the curva at Juventus Stadium?

“In every game we have a corner with 5,000 children and therefore I think it’s a good idea although I don’t want to replace the Curva. Still, it’s something we have done for several years to make sure the kids have fun, it’s nice to hear them scream.”

Some choruses weren’t appropriate. The parents might have taught them bad…

“You didn’t realize it on TV. But given that they all sang the same thing, someone must have told them. They have some share of the blame…”

Did you comfort Thohir after yesterday’s draw?

“No, he looked calm, he realizes that it’s important to build up slowly. In matches there are good and bad luck, maybe there will some more lucky ones.”
