Gianluca di Marzio reveals on his blog that Inter’s sporting director Marco Branca and his main man Piero Ausilio have spent the last few days in London for the mercato. The journalist writes on his webpage:

“A mission in London. The Inter-elite Piero Ausilio and Marco Branca traveled to London to watch Chelsea-Steaua Bucarest and came back today. They didn’t just keep eyes on the game but also on the Brittish market. In the Premier League there are clubs that are very interested in Inter’s players. The most concrete interest comes from Chelsea for Fredy Guarin. He doesn’t cost much and is a player that suits the demands of José Mourinho for January. The coach has asked for a similar player and according to the first reports from London Guarin was discussed. Mourinho would want him and the interest is concrete. What still remains to see is whether the negotiations could take the next step or not. Even Ranocchia is an interesting player for Chelsea if David Luiz will leave the club. Inter would like a Chelsea player in exchange and it is said that Ausilio likes Obi Mikel. Other players are valued such as Demba Ba who isn’t likely to get a lot of space since Chelsea might try to get Rooney or Jackson Martinez. During the last days rumours have claimed that Inter wants Lamela. It is possible that Inter made enquirys about the player during their visit in London. Lamela isn’t used by Villas Boas but it seems unlikely that Spurs would sell him now after buying him for 35 million euro’s this summer. ”
