Roma central defender Mehdi Benatia was interviewed by the newspaper Il Tempo where he revealed that he could have signed for any number of clubs, including Inter.
“Two seasons ago Leonardo was close to bringing me to Paris, which is my city, but the club didn’t want to sell me. Then I could have signed for either Inter or Napoli but for several different reasons I chose to sign for Roma and I’m very happy with my choice.”
