Denis Alibec is back in Romania, where the former Inter player has signed for Astra Giurgiu, Romania’s best team right now. In an interview with Prosport, Alibec talked about how he refused to see his return as a step back: “I can understand that there are negative comments about my return but I don’t care. It was my decision, I have no regrets and I don’t think I took a step back, rather the opposite. I don’t know what didn’t work in Italy, maybe I, just like many other young Romanians who are struggling to establish themselves, paid for the fact that I was far from home and we want to develop as quickly as possible among so many good players. Now, however, I want to prove that I’m a great player.”
