Gazzetta dello Sport reports about yesterdays training at Appiano Gentile in today’s newspaper.
“During yesterday’s tactical drills, Mazzarri tried out 3 different attacking options. The first was with Alvarez and Kovacic playing behind Palacio, the second was Guarin instead of the young Croat but with Alvarez behind Palacio and the third where Alvarez played behind Milito and Palacio. Therefore Guarin, who is the only Inter player to have started all matches in the league until his suspension against Chievo, is in risk of being benched.”

In my opinion, Inter is better using 4 players rather than 3 player at the back. All Inter’s backs are strong, but not fast enough to face a quick counter attack. That is why Inter always suffer when the opponent have the quick attackers/wingers.
Again, why do we not change to 4-4-2 or 4-3-3? Two wing backs should focus on defense first. Jonathan, Nagatomo and Juan have speed to control the opponent’s quick players.
