Sky Sport 24 – Inter make attempt to sign Djordjevic

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is making an attempt to sign Filip Djordjevic, the striker who currently plays for Nantes. According to reports from Sky Sport 24, Piero Ausilio has met Djordjevic’s entourage to try to sign him ahead of Lazio, who appeared to be about to take him to Rome. More specifically, there has been a meeting with the player’s representative in Italy, Alessandro Lucci.

The 26-year-old striker, whose contract expires in June 2014, has been linked to Inter in the past but then the discussions haven’t moved further. Lazio have been on their way to sign the player on a free transfer in July, but Inter’s counteroffensive has changed this.

Djordjevic has so far scored 11 goals in 23 matches in Ligue 1 and Sinisa Mihajlovic, the former national team coach, often called him to the national team.

The left -footed striker is schooled in the Red Star and has since 2008 been playing for Nantes , where he has scored 57 goals in 174 matches.

Djordjevic has a robust physique (186 centimeters, 85 kg ) and is a classical centreforward in the penalty area who also works well when he has space. His valuation is € 4.5 million (source Transfer Markt), that number will be reduced given that the player only has six months left on his contract with his current club.
