Terzo Tempo – No suprises at Juventus Stadium

No big suprises at Juventus Stadium today. A 3-1 win for Juventus in a match that was decided from the first minute, really. Juventus are a way better and more complete team than Inter with a really safe defensive line as well as the most feared midfield in the Serie A, and rightly so. However, I’m not to disappointed with Inter in this game. I believe we did as well as we could.

Of course, the three goals that we let Juventus score are due to a defense that is not good enough to be in to top tier of the Italian league. Marking lost and Rolando misses the offside-trap at the first goal. The second one is a corner that Inter fails to clear out of the box. The third goal is a similar thing. We are just not good enough. I’m fine with that, the only thing that really winds me up is the fact that Andrea Pirlo, during the first goal, is allowed to take down the ball in the center of Inter’s half, take four steps forward and is allowed to hit a great pass into the box without anyone of our players are even close to disturbing him even the slightest. That’s something that every team should be able to do.

Inter’s best player in my book is Saphir Taider, who didn’t miss a single pass today,, worked hard and won a couple of challenges in midfield. For me, Taider should be one of the most certain starting players for Inter from here on out. Young, talented and develops his quality everytime he steps on to the pitch.

Rodrigo Palacio disappointed me today as well, I know it’s hard for him being all alone on top, but way too many times he moves out to the wing positions and he doesn’t get back into the box fast enough. Not to mention the three chances he missed today. He should have scored on one of them, at the very least, particularly his last chance should have been headed into the back of the net. Sorry to say it, but it’s a very poor preformance from Palacio not to get that one into the back fo the net.

Next match is against Sassuolo and if we don’t get three points there, then I will start to question each player, coach, director and president individually and that is something I hope I won’t have to do.
