Corriere dello Sport this morning report on Erick Thohir’s effort to establish and take advantage of marketing and commercial opportunities across the globe. One idea could be giving greater exposure to the content delivered by Inter Channel. Although showing games would likely be out of the question, giving the club a chance to gain recognition and sponsorship opportunities in Asia is a big part of the new owners plans. Conversations have already taken place regarding the possibility of Indonesian TV showing some Inter Channel programming whilst the other two important markets would be Japan and China.

With social media playing such an important role the club is looking to begin accounts in other languages aside from Italian or English. During the summer games in the Champions Cup  (Taking place in the U.S.) it will not only be a useful marketing tool but can also see Inter attempt to begin work with Nike (who recently renewed their contract with the Nerazzurri) to launch a company specifically for the Inter brand. The result of this could be the opening of stores across Italy and further afield.
