Roberto Carlos: “Me leaving Inter wasn’t Hodgsons fault”

The former Real Madrid and Inter player and currently Sivasspor coach Roberto Carlos spoke in Gazzetta dello Sports Extra Time about his time in Inter. He made it clear that him leaving Inter back in 1996 wasn’t the former Inter coach Roy Hodgsons fault. He said “Hodgson wanted me to play as a winger and I wanted to play as a wingback. Still it’s not his fault that I was only a year at Inter”.

He was then asked about who he regards as the best player in Italy, which he responded “Totti, but if we’re talking about the best of all time, Zidane and Ronaldo”. He was also asked about who’s the craziest player he has come across with in football, Gravesen he replied.
