From the pages of Tuttosport it is claimed that Mauro Icardi is no longer considered ‘unsellable’ by Inter. Indeed the alternative has already been located and his name is Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid. The Spanish under 21 striker was convinced by Carlo Ancelotti to remain until the summer but still finds little or no time on the pitch. With the explosion of Jesse and the fact that Morata has an expiring contract in 2015 this summer could be time for him to move on. Inter hope to convince the player that he can be the centre of their project but they must overcome rivals such as Arsenal and Tottenham to win the players signature. Finally any buyer would have to agree to the ‘Madrid’ clause, an automatic buy back option in two years for the original fee paid (Real would ask for around €12 million).
