Inter’s summer mercato seems increasingly linked to that of Premier League side Newcastle United, if the latest reports from England are to be believed. The Nerazzurri have been given no lack of encouragement in their pursuit of Newcastle forward Hatem Ben Arfa. The North East club are believed to be asking for around £7 million to facilitate the deal, a figure which has seen Inter jump to the front of the queue. Meanwhile a rumoured Newcastle target is being closely followed by the leaders of Inter. Lyon’s Bafetimbi Gomis sits on an expiring contract this June, the Magpies have repeatedly been close to signing the French international striker in previous transfer windows. However, it now appears that Inter could move for the 28 year old to replace the outgoing Diego Milito this summer.
