Gazzetta dello Sport this morning reports on the problems Walter Mazzarri’s Inter have had winning three games on the bounce. It happened once this season but that included a Coppa Italia win against Cittadella. On three occasions the Nerazzurri have failed to capitalise on two successive victories and the third game has always finished 1-1. After Genoa and Catania there was the 1-1 with Juventus, victories over Sassuolo and Fiorentina saw Inter draw 1-1 with Sunday’s opponents Cagliari and finally a trip to Bologna after wins against Udinese and Livorno also ended in a 1-1 scoreline.
On Sunday at the San Siro in front of visiting president Erick Thohir, Inter will attempt to break the curse of three once and for all.
