It seems that Tohir wants to assemble a team by resembling Roma. Just like them he wants to bring many Premier League players to Inter. There’s not that many great defenders arround let alone young ones, but he seems to be interested in Premier league players like Vidic, Sag a, nani Evra , and lately Podilski as was rumoured. of course I do like this Idea as untortunatly that league is a better one than Serie A these days. Ofcourse they won’t be chip but I hope to see good players not only young or PL players.
marketing wise, this is a good step. premier league are very well known on most of other country especially in asia. so it’s a good chance to expand our brand by using these players who are already well known there. and quality wise, they aren’t that bad either. as long as they can stay healthy, i believe they can contribute for the team
the Premier league moves so, so much faster than Serie A…it will seem as if it’s in slow motion to Vidic and he will have no problem from a physical stand point…just look at how effective an older and much slower Samual has been now that he is healthy.

This is a good sign of intention by Thohir. We interisti are too biased. The youth products we create aren’t able to handle pressure or inter, which is the biggest in Italy ( we always get praise or hate).
Good signing for a few seasons especially to make a leap upto champions league (only Samuel out of our central defenders has that sort of pedigree and he’s leaving us end of season) No one else barring Chivu has that experience in central defence. I hate 3-5-2 but even still Mazzari is so frusting playing players that are clearly out of form i.e. Jonathan, Milito, Palacio, he needs to be braver and possibly change the system to get the best out of Kovacic, Botta, Taider, Icardi as that is our future!
David Moyes allowing physically fit and top form captain to go free? I do not think so. Let’s see what he can do for Inter. It is a pity that legend Zanetti earns less than 1m a year, but newly signed Vidic to earn 3m in the first season, 3.5m in the following 1-2 seasons. 25 year old Italian internationals Ranocchia and D’Ambrosio cannot represent Inter and squadra Azzurri, while flops constantly playing at Inter, plus Inter is linked to other finished players at top clubs such as Evra and Sagna. 5 of our primavera and on loan youngsters were constantly called up by U21 national team, but none of them are guaranteed to be called up by their father-Inter. This is reality at Inter and I always think that this is wrong!
It’s not like it was up to David Moyes to keep Vidic or not eh.
My issue is that there is so much talk about how great our youth system is and the quality players coming out of that system going on loan, while Inter struggles.
I’m not gonna bash Vidic signing just yet. We’ll see how he fits into WM’s system, but at this point, Inter just signed a known name.

It’s not as bad as it looks. Vidic choose leave. His contract expired and he didn’t want to renew. And you need a balance of senior and younger players. Rano has been a flop this season and D’Ambrosio will get his chances. And you can’t just get all your players on loan and put them on the first team. They got called up on the u21 bc it’s under 21. Inter isn’t a only u21 club
