Interviewed by Roberto Scarpini for Inter Channel the nerazzurro coach talked about his team’s 1-0 victory over Ventura’s Torino.
“Palcio did well, you need a bit of luck and Icardi was also ready to pounce. But had we won by 2-0 we could’ve continued with more calm. Regarding the game we play much better now. The strikers did well; the dry pitch is helping too.”
Andreolli and Ranocchia?
“Yes they did very well and I want to highlight Marco who has played very little, he deserves more praise than the others. But Andrea is also worth applause. Campagnaro has come back well but the cramps stopped him. The credit goes to everybody, also to the trainers that help me.”
A comment on Kovacic:
“I can’t play everybody; I need to evaluate who doesn’t play. Today Cambiasso was perfect, but it is better this way, the competition is most welcome but the balance is crucial. I would like to play with many offensive players but is not possible. The table? We don’t watch it, we think about Verona and we will watch it at the end. When we work hard during the week and we obtain the results credit goes to everybody. The maximum would be not to concede counter attacks to the adversaries.”
