Corriere dello Sport reports in today’s paper that the planned meeting between Erick Thohir and Walter Mazzarri has only been postponed and not cancelled.
The two gentlemen only met briefly yesterday at Appiano Gentile where they only shook hands, this due to the fact thet neither Mazzarri nor Thohir want to risk disturbing the team before tonight’s fixture at home against Udinese. A meeting between the parties will however take place before the Indonesian tychoon flies back to Indonesia.
“Mazzarri has to provide guarantees that he intends to fully go through with the project who according to Thohir is a 3-year project, where he agrees to every aspect of it in working with a team that will mostly be made up by young players. On the other hand the coach expects guarantees and assurances that the confidence shown in him is real and not a consequence of a lucrative contract which is set to expire in June 2015” the Rome-based newspaper writes.
