Tonight in Livorno Ricky Alvarez could start in place of Fredy Guarin and the idea behind this is twofold. The 3-5-2 could become a 3-4-3 as in the second half against Udinese and it would aim to get the best out of Hernanes who looked more comfortable during the second period of that match.

To be Honest, i would like that Mazzari tries to put Kovacic on the wings sometimes and not as a playmaker.
He has the skills for this. To be honest if Kovacic is past his man and gets in the penalty area, we will get our first penalty sooner. Mark my words!
People, this is not a 3-4-3 formation, when you have in starting line Naga & Jonathan at the same time .. they are wings defenders .. having in the back line Ranochia-Samuel-Juan + Naga & Jonathan, its obvious the formation is 5 defenders and only 2 classic midfielders Cambiaso & Hernanes .. until we have Naga & JOnathan on the startline, the formation always would be with 5 defenders, cause Mazzari have no balls to play attacking football as Mourinho did ..
For me, 3-4-3 formation would be for example:
Ranochia – Rolando – J Jesus
Guarin – Taider – Hernanes – Kovacic
Alvarez – Icardi – Palacio
and not Mazzari’s bullshits formation!!!
