One of these other choices would be Tottenham midfielder Sandro, who has lost his place under Sherwood; however, the uncertain future of the coach makes this less concrete. Another name that has been linked is Javi Garcia of Manchester City, who has had a lot of difficulty finding playing time this season and could look to move on this summer.
