Tuttosport examines the role of Mauro Icardi within the Nerazzurri after he was selected to be the face of Nike’s kit launch for 2014/15. The Turin based daily newspaper believes that the choice to use Icardi was a corporate one and that he is now seen as the face of Inter’s attack and project. Further to this the player will be rewarded with an extra year on his current deal, the raise will include bonuses for goals and assists. Meanwhile Piero Ausilio and Inter won’t even sit at the table to discuss Icardi for an offer less than €30 million, leaving no doubts as to the importance of Maurito to Inter.
