Italian news portal Il Messagero reports today on Inter’s mercato. Apart from stating that a move for Valon Behrami to Inter is still possible, Il Messagero states that Portugese defender Rolando is getting closer and closer to joining Inter on a permanent basis. Rolando seems to be willing to terminate his contract with Porto in order to make the move to Inter, this if the two clubs can’t find an agreement for Rolando.

so here’s a guy who has been one of our best in the last season, seems like he wants to join us at ALL cost, but we would rather waste money on mediocre Medel with 3 good games behind his back in the past 12 months. very well

It would more than likely be that Rolando can rescind his contract for an amount tied to his wage, which given he has 1 year left may be quite low. I’m not sure if he qualifies under FIFA rules to buy out his contract under pre-defined terms but if he does it’s easy. Then we would pay Rolando a bumper signing on fee to cover the cost of him buying out his contract. So we still pay in the end but it may be a little cheaper… although it could annoy Porto and potentially harm future relations.
seems united did pretty much the same when they acquire ander herrera. herrera bought his own buy out clause so he was out of contract and can join united for free. thought it was actually united’s money that was used by him to bought his own contract
after m’vila now rolando showing his dedication to join inter.. I think we will have a very good team, they have the passion for inter..
2 years a go schelotto n alvaro pereira also showed their big desire to joint inter, but what had we done to them T_T
surely m’vila and rolando are on the other level compared to scheloto and perreira.. only time will tell and I hope im not wrong about them haha
i hate to remind you bot Mazzarri didn’t invite either Schelotto or Perreyra to training camp. Schelotto had passion to play with inter….what good is passion if the coach doesn’t want you ??
