Simoni: “My Inter was better than the current Inter”

The former Inter coach Gigi Simoni spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Here are his words about Mourinho and Mazzarri. It starts, however, with a question about which, between his Inter and the current, that was stronger. Simoni has no doubts: “Mine. It had more quality: not only Ronaldo, there were Pagliuca, Bergomi, Zamorano, Simeone, who was a coach already on the pitch. In my small way I knew that he would become a great one. Mazzarri? Good and he wasn’t bad as a player either, I had him at Empoli, I promise: they called him the new Antognoni. Mourinho? I never liked the desire to always seek confrontation. I would say his ways are different from mine.”
