Reports in Spain this morning claim that Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo has broken his foot in a preseason friendly. If the diagnosis is confirmed, the Spanish international faces two to three months on the sidelines. It was thought that Real Madrid were considering Negredo as Alvaro Morata’s replacement after he moved to Juventus last week. This could all but end the possibility of Stevan Jovetic leaving City this summer. Inter have been heavily linked to the player over the last few weeks but it seems they will now have to look elsewhere.
