Squizzi: “I will never forget my final game, which was also the farewell to Zanetti”

Lorenzo Squizzi, goalkeeper for among other Chievo Verona, Perugia and Reggiana, has decided to retire from football. Speaking to the club’s official channel, the 40-year old goalkeeper said: “It’s time to take off the gloves and say goodbye to a world that has given me so much, good times, hard times and many friends, including captain Sergio Pellissier. I will never forget May 18, 2014, the last game played at the Bentegodi against Inter as captain on the day of another goodbye, to Javier Zanetti.”
