The game vs. Torino was the debut for Inter’s new signing Gary Medel and his teammate Juan Jesus had a lot of praise for his work when interviewed by “Latercera”. Juan said: “Medel has a great debut. He put his heart into it and ran for 90 minutes. Eventually he became a little tired, but that is normal as it was his first full game. Medel and M’Vila together? Gary can definitely play with him and they have different characteristics and I think the coach has done well to use them together in the midfield.”

Am I the only one to think Medel is a better defender than holding midfielder?.. Vidic is good, but Medel is better in his position-I mean didn’t people watch the WC?! Also Germany played with Howedes as a left back and ozil as a left winger-a player’s position is not fixed in stone. I know we arguably don’t have players of their calibre but it’s an analogy. I see our balance being achieved by a midfield diamond. And if we’ve got Guarin on a long term contract with highish wages then we need to find a use for him. He’s better than the likes of Silvestre and Torres. But his confidence must be broke after the transfer sagas this year. Inter need to get behind him and he can be as decent as he once was. WM used double pivot to give more defense, but in attacking side we have lack of creativity with only icardi as lone striker.
Medel is a new inter star, he will be a great inter player
