We take a look at the Inter news related headlines on the front pages of the top Italian sports papers.
Gazzetta dello Sport: Inter, Palacio won’t have surgery. Mancini effect: more fans. At San Siro +4,342 spectators average per game. Osvaldo apologizes but he may still go. Vidic has been reborn and can now stay.
Corriere dello Sport: Mancini’s jokes, Nastasic fades. Schalke defender…
Palacio’s ankle injury does not seem to be as serious as previously thought and the attacker can continue sans surgery. Walter Mazzarri’s last home game was host to just over 27,000 fans while the Genoa game welcomed a full 10,000 more at over 37,000 in attendance. Still low for Inter standards, but well on our way back.
Dani Osvaldo may formally apologize to the club, but it may be too late for him. Nemanja Vidic put in a top performance capped off with a goal against Genoa and is much more likely to stay at Inter. He may find more playing time as well.
