“In the locker room after the game there was an atmosphere of frustration and disappointment. Before the game we told each other not to let the club down again. We played well and to concede like that is hard to swallow. Now we move forward and focus on the next game”. That is what Hernanes said to the microphones of Rai Sport after the loss suffered against Napoli in the Coppa Italia. “Is this another season to forget? I don’t think so”, responded the Brazilian, “I am refinding my form after three muscle injuries and I expect a good ending to this season. I think I played pretty well today”.
When asked about his favourite role on the field, Hernanes said: “My favourite role is the one I had today, with Medel behind me and Brozovic. The reason for me being subsituted? I was a bit tired, but there is no problem”. The final question was about Roberto Mancini: “He has changed the way we play, he wants us to stay further up and play the ball. Right now the results are not there but they will come”.
