Via his official page on Facebook, Juan Jesus wanted to express his joy of reaching 100 appearances with Inter. Here is the text of the message addressed to his fans from the Brazilian defender, who arrived to Inter in 2012 from Internacional de Porto Alegre:
“Good afternoon! Today is a special day…
First I want to thank God for the opportunity and for the life you have given me today. It’s been three years since my arrival at Inter, and I would like to thank all the teammates who have helped me along this road, the coaches who have passed and the coach who today continues to give me the opportunity to grow and gain many other objectives in my career.
It has been 3 years of joy, sadness and many struggles, but I think everything will serve me as a training ground for life.
I thank my wife C. Jesus for helping me at times when I was down, only you know what I went through when I hurt my knee, but thank God you’ve always been by my side, supporting me always, day after day.
I thank my family for having always been close… My mother, my father, my brothers and Barbara Ramon… You are very important to me, and you know how much I struggled to get this far.
Thanks to my procurator, agent and dear friend Roberto Calenda for giving me the opportunity to play in one of the biggest and most important clubs in the world… My beloved INTER.
Today I am able to realize a dream: to play in one of the stadiums that has shaped the history of football. I regard “San Siro” as my home. Every time I go onto the pitch and feel the grass under my feet I’m excited and happy to do what I love.
I arrive to the 100th game wearing “the colors of the sky and the night”: 100 matches in which I always gave my blood on the pitch, 100 matches of pure love for the shirt that I wear, 100 games in which I gave my best. And I will continue to always do my best to help my team: INTER.”
