Good news at home for the Nerazzurri as Mauro Icardi is free from his muscle strain and will head into the match fit against rival Gonzalo Higuain. Roberto Mancini is keen to avoid the repeat against Gonzalo Higuain this time around that saw Inter Milan eliminated from the Coppa Italia.
Its hard to imagine Mancini has gotten consistent play from the pack of Palacio, Podolski, Shaqiri and Guarin playing together, just look at Jose Callejon and his impact this season at Napoli. We cannot forget that playing Napoli also means pressure. The first half of the season had ex-coach Walter Mazzarri as a witness to this.
Inter had a great reaction though and was able to get a 2-2 draw, thanks to the fundamental contributions of the duo Hernanes and Kovacic.
This sunday is a different story though, a defeat after losing to Fiorentina would be fatal to the moral as well as for the standings and would not help to prepare the team for the match against Wolfsburg. Whom are in great form this time of the season.
