Susic’s agent: Susic was close to Inter

Inter were heavily linked with Hajduk Split talent Tino Susic during the winter transfer window.  Eventually, the move broke down and Inter signed Marcelo Brozovic instead.  Today, Susic’s Fifa agent, Sabatino Durante, spoke to Europacalcio.it about what lies ahead for his client:

“I can defiantly confirm that Inter asked for him several times, while we only had a quick chat with Milan during the final hours of the mercato.  Nothing materialized, however, a deal broke down with Napoli because Tino plays the same position as Hamsik.   He [Susic] is a quality and versatile midfielder who can cover every midfield role.  In the end, any chance of a move to Italy diminished because of the player’s evaluation, and the fact that the forms of payment in the country are more consistent.  The club [Hajduk] is active in the Croatian market, and is making gains.  There is very little economic progress and we want to make a deal by paying in installments for a three to four year period.  This makes it hard to meet together.  Because of this, his price is set to grow even more and this is why I think it is impossible for him to go to Italy.  Instead, I think that his future lies in England or Germany, where many teams have a little more concrete interest in the boy.”
