Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech looks like he will be leaving due to the emergence of Thibaut Courtois with Inter being increasingly linked with the Czech as there are problems with Samir Handanovic’s contract renewal.
Cech received more praise again this weekend even though he didn’t play for Chelsea against QPR. Here are Jose Mourinho’s words after Chelsea’s 1-0 win:
“Cech is fantastic. His spirit is incredible. I’ll tell you what he did.”
“Before the game he told captain John Terry if they won the coin toss before the match he should choose the half that would benefit the team. He said to play away from the Sun. And he wasn’t playing but he still thought of Courtois having to play with the Sun in his eyes. With this spirit Cech deserves everything.”
These words could confirm that the goalkeeper is going to depart Chelsea at the end of the season. Inter remain in the hunt for his services.
