Sunderland survey: Ricky voted as worst signing

Newspaper the ‘Sunderland Echo’ have released the results of a survey on the Sunderland fans’ perception of the season just ended.

In the survey which had over a thousand responses, the Sunderland fans were asked to vote for their best and worst signing of the season passed.

Almost 50% of the voters did not hesitate to label Ricky Alvarez as their worst signing of the season despite the Argentine being affected by knee problems for most of the time and which led to only 5 starts.

The best buy instead goes to goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon who came in from Manchester City.
