Mateo Kovacic has caught a lot of flack during the last year as he could not find the consistency fans expected of him.
He did have many interesting and important stats however, which helped him build a strong case for staying at Inter. One of which shows that the Croatian playmaker recorded the most completed passes in the final (attacking) 25 meters of the pitch. The 21 year-old completed 615 passes in the final third in just 2,463 minutes. The next closest player in this regard was Franco Vazquez of Palermo with 595 danger area passes completed in 3,224 minutes.
A very intriguing statistic is that of completed through balls (played behind the defense) per game in the league. Inter’s Kovacic leads the league with 0.3 per game with Hernanes a close second.

That is why this kid is irreplaceable for me

and if we ever had inzaghi killer type, beside super 9 now, those would become assists…
Kova and Hernanes can be awesome alongside each other.
U are the legend..
and some idiots were saying that he is over rated. Kovacic is the most talented player in the Inter Milan team. we need the team to revolve around him.
He always got what it takes to be world top midfielder, he only need time and a figure to make his potential show up..
I have notes for mancini.. After his journey in EPL, he seemed become spoiled since his ex club can afford almost everyone in term of money. He likes to get everything for instant and become weak. In my eyes, good coach always tried to make the best out of his disposal and i think he well receive what he asked for..
It’s very annoying for fan like me where he tried to offload omeone he wanted the most 6 month ago just because at the moment he think the player didn’t suitable anymore with his gameplan. We all know with this atitude, he can simply change his mind anytime in near future, it means he will leave us in same circle with no ending..
I hope Thohir will be wise and clever to respond a wish that related to economical aspect.. Mancini alone in just 6 month has spend (possibly can reach 100m at the end of summer mercato) with no guarantee of (minimum breakeven point)..
More of it.. Most of fans still talk like a living human with no brain… Shame…
Sorry if i go hard about this because i think most of us need at least education on how to think/analize before talk/respond..
I say most of us were bunch of clueless fans who easily give instant comment without understanding the point of the convesation.. This is sempreinter, not goal.com..
It’s not only about respect each other opinion, it’s about unity but intelligent..
I would have agreed with you, if we were buying over-priced old players like Milan. In order to get back to greatness, we need players with winning mentality, and unfortunately I see a lot of current Inter players with very shaky mentality ( remember the Celtic game, and how we let them back in the game). I also want to remind you, many new signings came to Inter because of Mancini…
We wasted 3 years with thrift, and we only managed to develop Icardi and Kovacic. I’m done with that. It’s time to go back to greatness.
So please come down from your high horse, and don’t think ONLY what you think is right!
I am very open minded my friend, but for me “What, Where, When, Who, Why, and How” were 1st thing 1st people should think carefully before throwing their comments. It’s not about how i am be respectful for others comments, but it’s my duty to remind them what it’s right.
I am not self centered, but this topic we’re talking about were part of analytical thinking that people should know but maybe they don’t, so i teach them lessons.
It’s good to grow better together, right…???
Remember we’re Interista (Brother of the World)…
Nice!
Always happy to see good things about kova
The lad needs some consistency! He’s only 21, and has already worked with 3 different coaches, deploying him in 4 different roles (regista, trquiesta, winger, left midfielder) Just give him the Pirlo role, with couple of games, and watch what the kid can do!
Can someone tell me what the Pirlo role is?
Didn’t that fuck play behind midfielders in Juventus?
It’s basically what I’m showing in the line-up. It’s a deep lying play-maker role, who gets the ball from the defense, and distribute the ball. He had two midfielders (Pogba/Vidal, Pogba/Marchisio) to cover for him, as I’m showing here for Kondogbia/Medel.
Pirlo needed years of experience in serie-a, Pogba who played alongside can do almost as good as him, while Kovacic don’t have both the experiences yet and a master to teach him just like Pirlo-Pogba so it’s gonna take him more than just a few game, i said about 2-3 years before he can mature well.

unfortunately, kovacic best attribute is his dribling which is more suitable to play as trequartista/ wide attacking midfielder a la David Silva. he dont have good passing range to dictate play from deep.
I don’t agree with you. Though he’s really good with dribbling, he has an exemplary composure with the ball, that along with his vision, and creativity, makes him perfect to play as a deep lying playmaker. Of course since he will have cover from two other midfielders, he should be able to dribble his way on the counter attacks…
