Inter defender Juan Jesus took to his official Facebook page to converse with the fans about Inter, the new arrivals, the Brazilian national team and more.
“Our main objective is to win, Inter always aim for the highest honours. If all goes well, we would be extremely satisfied and maybe even win the Scudetto”. However on a personal level the defender wants to focus on helping the team, going on to say that it matters not whether he plays as a full back or a centre back as long as he is helping his team. “The most important thing is to always help my team mates”.
Speaking of the upcoming derby, JJ admits that games against Milan and Juventus are always more challenging. He adds that the team must be “completely focused” before adding that Inter are ready to give a “great performance”.
When asked about his new team mates from Galatasaray, Juan Jesus started with Felipe Melo, stating that “he can help us a lot, with his technique and determination I’m convinced he’ll do great.”Moving on to left back Alex Telles, JJ says that he is a technically great player who can help the team. “I am not worried by the arrival of Telles, his arrival only brings satisfaction.” He says that the competition is good, and also pleases him.
The defender was also questioned on his future being away from Milan, before denying the possibility of a move away. “A future away from Milan? No, I have a long contract I hope to stay here for a long time”.
The Brazilian National team was also a topic that came up in this conversation with the fans. “I think that if I manage to do well for Inter, the national team will be closer”. However he asserts the fans that at the moment he thinks only of Inter. “If I receive the fateful call-up to Brazil (National team) I will be the happiest man on the planet”. He adds that his idol is none other than former Inter player and Brazilian international Lucio. “I used to watch him when I was little and he did incredible things. It was a fantastic experience every time we played together”.
