Moratti: “Simeone the only one who could put Ronaldo in line”
Former Inter president Massimo Moratti was a guest yesterday at the Tennis Club of Andria on the occasion of the Mediterranean Award of 2015. The event was organized by the Associazione Culturale Corte Sveva and the Inter Club of Andria and aims to reward a character in the world of Nerazzurri, who has distinguished himself extra much during the year. This time it was the famous television host and known Inter fan Paul Bonolis who received the award. Bonolis succeeds Walter Mazzarri, who won last season.
There to give prestige to the event was Moratti, who, however, declined to comment about current events “because this is a party of the Inter fans. I embrace you all. Both Inter fans who have enjoyed our successes and those that were able to resist in these last few difficult years.”
Then he rememberd his father and some great players of the past that have left a lasting impression on the Inter supporters: “Beccalossi was class and fantasy, while Altobelli was the embodiment of a goal scorer. Simeone? Already as a player he had a great character. He was the only one who could put Ronaldo in line. If I think about how far he has reached as a coach and if I have to make a comparison, I think Cambiasso is the next who can become a great coach.”
