Roberto Mancini was interviewed on Gazzetta TV about the pending derby on Sunday and the discussed the players that are unsure for the game;
“Icardi is well and will be playing, regarding Miranda we’ll have to evaluate. We will see tomorrow.”
Mancini then had positive things to say about Milan and his friend Sinisa Mihajlovic;
“Milan is a team to fear, I fear the personality that Sinisa has given them. And then there are important players like Bacca and Adriano. We have bought young players. Scudetto? All teams can have grand ideas, and so can Inter. In the last years they have won a lot, then sometimes there is the transition from older to younger players and that takes time and patience. Good and young players have arrived, young players that can have a great future at Inter. To reach that though there is a lot to work to be done.”
The interview then returns to Miha who in la Gazzetta dello Sport made the derby even more interesting with a challenge, saying that the winner would help the refugees.
“I accept the challenge. But I will be the one paying..”
Lastly, a final comment on the summer transfers:
“New players arrived the last week and with the break for the national teams we have had them in training only for two days here. Due to this it will take some time, but the foundation of the team is solid. Players have arrived in positions were we were not covered.”
