Mauro Icardi captained his first Inter derby tonight. And the young Argentine did not forget who has worn the captain’s armband for an eternity at Inter. Icardi honored Inter vice president Javier Zanetti with a special dedication on the armband “Un Capitano 4EVER J.Z”, and Zanetti was appreciative of the gesture. He thanked Maurito on twitter for the great surprise adding that winning the derby is always fantastic.

No captain material? Not yet is the right word i believe, he is got a potential in him as a good captain, not now but perhaps in the near future.. I choose Maurito any day over captain Froggy though..

Nice gesture!! Although I would prefer that the armband goes to Guaro since he has better communication with refs, seniority, and I for one saw a captain in him in the Osvaldo Icardi incident. Mancio knows better at the end of the day I guess! Great win today, not a perfect performance, but on the bright side there is still a huge room for improvement! Forza Inter and…. Icardi is not a good dribler or even play hold-up ball…but having a striker with very sharp predatory instinc like him will always gives hope to the team while at the same time unsettled the opponent defense. Break your duck on the next game Mauro!!
