Leonardo Morosini is a 20 year old playmaker currently with Brescia and is emerging as a great prospect. Interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the youngster has revealed his ties to Inter including a poignant story as an Inter supporter as a child.
Morosini who was at the San Siro to cheer on Inter in the Milan Derby had this to say:
“Beautiful victory, but we will not win the Scudetto. Inter is not without suffering and the more we suffer, the more we love the club.”
The playmaker then told a story from when he was a child. Leo used to walk on his tip toes, a condition known as bilateral tendon retraction, and to lengthen his tendons underwent a painful operation.
“When I was a boy, 5 years old, I wrote to Giacinto Facchetti to tell him my story. Once Giacinto read the letter he called me at hospital and sent me an autographed photo.”
Leo went on to have trials at Inter and entered the youth setup before his move to Brescia.
